Corobrik's studious vision
The 28th Corobrik Architectural Student of the Year Awards are nearly upon us, and the entries so far indicate that tomorrow’s architects will be pushing the boundaries of design as well as prioritising environmental imperatives.
Lynnwood resident and regional winner Graeme Noeth’s thesis, titled ‘The design of an international school of astronomy and astro-tourism centre’, is a study of the symbiotic relationship between earth, man and sky. From the regional winners a national winner will be chosen on 22 April at The Maslow in Joburg and will receive a prize of R50 000. Watch this space for more on the overall winning entries.
