During August, various venues around the city will host a series of events, seminars, workshops and exhibitions in which the public is encouraged to participate.

Shop for Design

We know there’s still a month to go until Spring, but when we saw the new range of fabrics and accessories by Skinny LaMinx called ‘Paradise is Here’, we were ready to whip out the margaritas and sunscreen thanks to its exotic island vibe. Inspired by designer Heather Moore’s trip to Tokyo, where plants are everywhere despite the overbearing skyscrapers, this collection is an ode to urban foliage and its softening of the hard edges of city living.

The designs pictured are titled Airborne, Fronds and Zigzag. They all form part of the ‘Paradise is Here’ range
