Karen Morris, owner of Cape Wellness Spas, recently opened her third Camelot luxury spa, this time at Val de Vie in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley. She tells us more about her latest venture.
What sets Camelot apart from other spas? Camelot Spa has been providing treatments of an impeccable quality at an international standard for more than 20 years. As the largest spa group in Africa, the Camelot Spa Group not only operates luxury spas, but offers a franchise and consultancy division and has a network of CSpa Wellness by Camelot branches in corporate properties, as well as residential complexes requiring an express spa and beauty offering as part of the growing trend of all-in-one lifestyle centres. Tell us about your services. We have chosen our therapies based on our knowledge of the pressures and demands placed on the body by the strain of urban living. Camelot Spa at Val de Vie offers six luxurious treatment rooms, three of which are dual rooms perfect for couple treatments. Facilities include a hydrotherapy bath, a rasul chamber as well as a hair salon and manicure and pedicure lounge. Our specialised skin treatments include Thalgo iBeauty, which is a beauty device combining three innovative, proven, non-invasive and completely safe technologies for instant facial results. We are the only spa in the Western Cape to offer this treatment. Is the spa only available to Val de Vie residents? Camelot Spa Val de Vie is open to estate residents and the public. We offer day spa packages, which include a light lunch. Our partnership with the Pearl Valley Restaurant allows us to provide a spa menu offering top quality and healthier options to our guests. Tell us about your interior decor theme. Our spa presents a natural yet contemporary feel aimed at providing a therapeutic environment. Areas enveloped in cool tones of grey and splashes of warm greens, balance wood, leather and wicker textures. Who was responsible for the interior design of the spa? Karen Marsden Interiors, who also project managed the build for me.
